Brighten up your master bedroom by adding large windows on as many walls as possible. Custom draperies and blinds will let the light in when you need it and keep your room dark when you’re ready to rest.
In keeping with the calming color scheme, an antique shopkeeper's cabinet with glass-front drawers was painted white and serves as an interesting dresser. A flea market painting of roses and an array of old perfume bottles complete the romantic vignette on the dresser. The whimsical chandelier over the bed complements the room's style. A curtained cased opening separates the master bedroom from the family room.
A low bed is something you might want to opt for various reasons. It can simply be a choice based on style if you prefer something a little more casual that makes it seem like you didn’t even try but that was actually intentional, if it’s something that goes well with your bedroom’s decor or if you just like the design. It can also be a choice based on functionality but, in the case of modern and contemporary homes, I think we can agree this detail is secondary to style.
A calming and neutral colour palette is what makes this exotic theme work. While there are multiple colours at play here, they are all muted in tone and blend together to create one cohesive scheme. The cream cowhides and rustic linen bedding bring natural elements into the mix, lending the room warmth and preventing it from feeling one-note.
